Normally I never really liked wearing hats of any kind, it just wasn’t my thing. I live in the northeast of America so it can get really cold up here so I had it in mind to buy a good quality hat. You lose a majority of your body heat through your head so I was not going to simp out on a hat. I wanted a trapper hat that is a bit more unique, stylish, and pairs well with my outfits. I like the idea of getting a fur trapper hat since it’s more authentic to the history of it plus I’ve always wanted to own a fur piece of clothing. I also like that this business uses recycled fur as advertised which is great so you won’t feel like you’re supporting a brand that actually does the “deed” with the animals. The delivery was good, it wasn’t necessarily fast but it wasn’t long either especially since I was ordering in a different country. Immediately out the box I loved the aesthetic of it, the fur was soft and fluffy and the leather felt high quality. I was very excited to wear it. I’m a 5’10 male around 170-175lbs and I bought a medium. I was worried that it might be too tight but it actually felt very snug and insulated and fit perfectly which is good(it shouldn’t be loose with air flowing in). Knowing that it’s leather I know for a fact that the more I wear this hat the more it will contour to my head shape which is really good. I have no complaints with it really, it’s very stylish and keeps my head and ears warm with the leather string on the bottom you can use to tie it off around your chin. I’m confident that this hat will last me years, would I order from this company again if I want another hat? Yes.
Thank you for your review. Trapper model hats are made to be worn mainly with the earflaps down or back. With the earflaps down it squeezes the head, so we need to make sure the hat will fit in this position. If you wear the hat with the earflaps completely on top of the head, it's normal to be loose, so you must tighten the velcro in this position. And when wearing it with the earflaps down you loosen the Velcro.
