All has gone smoothly so far but could not access the foundation instructions on-line and could not locate a phone # to get assistance.

Very pleased with the fireplace kit, excellent instructions and tech support if needed. The blocks need to be cleaned of all sand/dust which is time consuming, I used a nylon bristle brush. Just take your time and make sure everything is level and plumb.

This is our second Romanstone fireplace and we are just as thrilled with this Fremont with the wood boxes as we were with our first years ago. My husband and I did the work ourselves and once the foundation was prepared it took us 4 days! Construction was like putting together a puzzle! Highly recommend!

Coordinating arrival was great with several calls updating me on shipment status. Due to my tight timeline, I requested and received approval to pick pallet up from shipper terminal. Pallet was perfectly plastic wrapped for transport and all bricks were intact. Installed by myself (I’m 72) in 3 hours start to finish on an existing level concrete pad. Instructions were adequate but could be clearer with nomenclature and include some tips to avoid mistakes. For instance, no mention of when in the build process to place the steel insert-if you don’t place it until the end, it will not fit. All in all, extremely pleased with kit quality and appearance. First fire was amazing!
RFRoger F.Verified buyer Was a little disappointed in the blocks. There were a lot of them that were broke off on the corners. Although I guess this gives it character I would have preferred they did more to protect the blocks during shipping. I had a little issue with the fire brick, even though I got the bottom square and level, I still had to cut down about 1/2" off of one of the vertical fire bricks on each row, on the back side, to get them to fit. Luckily I had a brick saw to do it with. Overall the project went well though. We did all but the top cap and ledge stones on the first day (two old men in late 60's). We used it a week later and it worked well, gave out good heat and we enjoyed it very much
