I really love our new fireplace! Looks great! The company was great to work with. I had several good conversations with Frostie, she is great and provides great customer service! We had a some minor damage which she took care of right away. Would highly recommend!

LJLauri J.Verified buyerThis was a great DIY project. We ordered one cobble kit and a palette of wall block. We still had extra block left over from both, which we used to line a few walkways. Delivery was scheduled in advance and arrived on time. The delivery truck driver was helpful in unloading the palettes to our driveway. Unfortunately the hand truck/lift was not able to get over a lip in the end of our driveway, so we had to unload the palettes by hand. This wasn't a big deal since we are capable and didn't order that much, but definitely something to note for those with larger orders. Make sure you have help when the truck shows up, just in case they aren't able to put the palettes where you planned! We will order again in the future if we need more. This company is great! Love this fireplace!! My husband and I were a bit skeptical about a DIY outdoor fireplace and did a lot of research online before we purchased from Roman Stone. We were pleasantly surprised how easy the order process was and the successful delivery of the materials. My husband built the fireplace all on his own in 4 days using the detailed instructions provided with the materials and video tutorials on the website. This fireplace has added an extra special touch to our backyard pavilion and outdoor kitchen. I highly recommend Roman Stone if you are looking for an outdoor fireplace.

The kit system worked without a hitch for the first two pallets. Online on the ordering page it said very specifically that to do a 15-foot diameter circular patio, you needed to order 3 kits. The installation instructions are very emphatic, that is you want to do anything more than 12 feet, you should just use rectangular pavers, otherwise there would be too much waste! I had awful trouble getting the instructions, requesting access online, and via email, and via voice mail and phone calls! Frosty finally emailed us the morning we were ready to start building! I am so glad, though, we didn't get the instructions until then, or I would have canceled the third kit in the order! I believe all those delays getting the instructions was providential! I was able to figure out a way to two specific paver shapes from the third kit, plus leftovers from the first two, to complete the full 15' 3" patio without requiring purchasing any other pavers, and it is gorgeous! The client is elated! Totally satisfied with the end result, but there were a number of other complications through the process! At first, when I sent several emails to the only contact information on the "Romanstone Hardscapes" web site and never got a single response of any type, it scared me that I would be sending the client’s money into a black hole! I then looked to see who had registered the website, and the "whois" tool I was using couldn't determine that for some reason! Then I looked to see who owned the trademark "Romanstone Hardscapes" and found out it was Midwest Block and Brick with many locations in several states, but who's central office was in Missouri! I called the number listed for them and the first person I talked to appeared to not know they had a division named Romanstone Hardscapes. He said he would check who the company’s contact was and get back to me. After several days of not hearing anything, I called back. This time I made contact with someone named Tom who was very cordial and extremely helpful! I first caught him unloading an order of materials for someone. He said he would get back to me as soon as he finished unloading! It wasn't more the 15 or 20 minutes, and he did. He told me that someone named Jeff had been handling that product line, but a woman named Frosty had taken over. Tom said he would have her call me but gave me here contact number just in case. In a couple days she did contact me, and once I was assured the purchase price was not going into a black hole, I completed the order, from that point on everything went as outline on the website, but actually arrived sooner than expected. Once the shipment arrived the truck and my crew had to deal with another complication! Most pallets have one center support, which works great with pallet jack, but for some reason the pallets the kits came on had 2 center supports, which made it so the driver had to lift them from one side, which made it hard to get them high enough to clear obstacles.
DCDan C.Verified buyer To this point the ordering process was easy, I received a phone call to review my order and was informed that the single batwing style storage box would be different than I expected as they were sold as a set, I was surprised to receive an additional call which told me they were able to switch the batwing out for the one I was expecting!! Communication was excellent! Shipping was excellent as well, be prepared for heavy pallets that will need to be moved(informed with my first phone call of this) I haven’t begun to assemble my Fremont kit but I’m very excited to do so.
