Very nice product and it was really fun to build. We bought the base extension and they forgot to ship the extra tubes of glue. Called and they were able to ship more glue pretty quick. The other challenge was that there were blocks shipped that were not mentioned in the instructions. I poured over everything a few times and finally decided that we had extra stuff, I’m guessing it was due to the fact that there is a new version and these extras were part of the old design. We were very happy with the end product and it wasn’t difficult, just a great workout. We (the wife and I) finished in three days and I grabbed a few neighbors for the cap stone. We were able to borrow some scaffolding from a friend and that really made the higher stuff super easy but it is in no way required. I would order this all over again and do nothing different. Have fun.

We even purchased a chimney extension and it was very clear as to when to incorporate that as well. We are do-it-yourself type people. We typically don’t hire out for anything we want to do around the home. I was thrilled that I found a fireplace kit we could build that was HALF the cost of ones I could buy locally that were pre-made. Nothing. We LOVE the look and functionality of the fireplace. Our only hiccup was the fact that the fireplace was going to be delivered curbside. We live in a rural area so there is no curbside and our driveway is steep. However, I was able to work with a local decorative concrete business to have my fireplace delivered to his business. In turn, we paid him a delivery fee to have the fireplace delivered to our home which was very gracious of him because he sells fireplaces too. Besides. This minor inconvenience initially, it all worked out and everyone was happy.y it right now! In fact I have already booked another one for my wife, it's just awesome

My wife loves it. It makes a great center piece for our backyard. The colors are great. We’ve received many compliments in the short time it’s been up. I only had two stones that gave me any issues but a hammer, chisel, and grinder can take care of just about anything. I’m very satisfied with the kit and love the way it turned out.
