Titan Audio Nyx Source/Signature Mains Cable Review. Noise? Don't we love it? We can't see it. We can't hear it. But it's there. The usual RFI/EMI garbage that clogs up our environment and in places where we don't need it, like our dedicated music room for those lucky enough to have one. The obvious question then is : if we can't hear the noise how do we know it has a detrimental effect on our system. Simple. Remove it. Now have another listen. Surprised at how everything now sounds effortless, pure, dynamically forthright with a frightening, almost holographic sound stage laid out in front of you. Obviously you cannot remove it completely, but, whatever percentage is removed, leaves the system with more breathing space to do its job properly. That's exactly what the Nyx attempts to do. As my heading states this is my review of both the Nyx Source and Signature cable which I was fortunate enough to buy together to replace both Titan Audio Styx cables I had hooked up to my valve pre/power amplifiers. I'm in my second week of listening and all I can say is this : everything the Styx did is more of the same but better. A giant step better in fact. More of everything I wrote above with two extra bonuses; Airiness and Detail. So much more space to let the music sing its song the way it was meant to be heard. Also I have to commend Richie for his infinite patience, problem solving and helpful advice. Thank you! In conclusion : Pros : clarity, focused especially the bass, detail, aesthetics, reduced noise. Cons : At this price, are you kidding??
