Duke 10 - beyond expectations! I received by DUKE a while ago and it has exceeded my expectations! Great quality, setup, and playability, I really enjoy learning new technics on the banjolele. Additionally, the accompanying strap, tools, and case increase the value of the entire combination overall. Even having the pay the additional tariff taxes (no fault of Jamie and DUKE) to me it is still a great setup and value for the price!! If you're looking for a banjolele - I highly recommend the DUKE-10!!!

I bought my Duke 10 several months ago, and have loved playing it ever since. I was looking for a solid instrument with great sound, and that's what the Duke 10 is. I've been playing along with an acoustic guitar player, and the banjolele sounds great through our sound system. I highly recommend this instrument for anyone who wants an instrument that truly sounds like a mix of tenor banjo and ukulele.

Ein tolles Instrument. Toller Klang auch über den Verstärker. Auch der Koffer und das Zubehör ist sehr positiv zu bewerten. Ich hatte schon einige Ukulelen und Banjolelen in der Hand, gekauft und zum Teil auch wieder verkauft. Die Guten durften bleiben. Die Duke 10 wird mich sicher lange begleiten. Ich kann den Kauf wirklich empfehlen.

I read a lot of reviews, before purchasing my first banjolele and I also played the wide range of banjoleles my friends own because I wanted to avoid shipping costs and the torturous long waiting time until the instrument arrives. Now, I have the DUKE10 since one week at my side here in Austria, and I couldn't be happier. The instument is light weight, has a great balanced sound compared to the other banjoleles I tried and my sleep routine suffers greatly because I can't stop playing! Connected to my amp is also great fun when it comes down to percussive options with the drum body. Small inspiration for the DUKiEs who also own an acoustic amp: try a combination of fingerstyle and stomps on the drum body, when playing "battle hymn of the republic", that is pure fun and joy. Otherwise almost every genre sounds at least interesting on the DUKE10 but it definitely rocks if you switch like me between the masterpieces of Cash, Willie Nelson, CCR and the classics like "I saw the light", "I'll fly away" or "Can the circle be unbroken". With the manufacturing quality you get, the hard case and accessoiries that are included in the price: it is one of the best, if not the best deal I made comparing it to my whole Ukulele collection. Early days, so not fully evaluated yet, but am impressed with the build quality and tone so far. Compared with the competition it's very good value indeed, especially considering the included case. Plays as easily as any, straightaway - no rough edges to attend to.

I've had my Duke10-v3 for about a week now - and I just love it! It was well packed for shipping and arrived unharmed after 3 weeks all the way from Canada to Finland. The instrument itself is very, very beautiful: carefully and skillfully designed and made. And so is the magnificent classic looking hard case, too. Two true pieces of art! The black shoulder strap is stylish and comfortable. And OH how cute is the mini-Duke key ring! The Duke10 is of course bigger and heavier than my basic concert ukulele, but it's by no means too big or too heavy - it feels very firm and fitting in my lap! It's good and nice to hold for both hands: the tenor neck fits perfectly to my fingers, and the arm rest above the drum head is very comfortable. The bridge was (to my relief) easy to set up: the place was marked ready on the drum head. The tuner knobs feel solid and turn precisely. I was a bit worried if Duke10 would be too loud among basic ukuleles, but it isn't! My friends say it adds just the right, unique and happy sound to our 5 ladies' uke band. I'm still learning to play it properly, but I'm already impressed of it's strong, cheerful and funny sound that makes me smile every time I play it!
