Got the outfit for fishing native streams in Pa. Love the way it handles it was my birthday gift from my wife. . My other bamboo was at least 75 years old and was my wife’s grandfather’s the rod hadn’t been fished since 1963 when he passed. It’s a Grainger select.Used the same reel line and his old flies!
I purchased this rod last year for a trip to Island Park to fish the Snake, Madsen and the Gibbon . It’s buttery smooth and will place your fly delicately right where you want it. Just like you would expect from a fine bamboo rod. I live near the Provo and fish it regularly. This has become my got to rod for that water. Big or little stream, hog or a minnow it performs flawlessly.
I purchased it late in the 2021 season, so I only fished with it three times. It is bamboo, so it will take a bit of casting to get used to that particular action. That being said, I am very happy with my purchase and look forward to fishing it much more this season, which starts today!

A solid, simple fly box. Very light but tough construction. The flies are decent, in fact it was a very good buy considering the value of the flies.
