As a recent WSET 3 certified wine professional, and an award winning winemaker, this course introduces a different perspective of truly focusing on the "HOW" of identifing the aromas of wine. It starts by clearly distinguishing the difference between how to "TASTE" (Sweet, Sour, Salty, Bitter and Umami) and how to sense/smell "AROMAs", (Orthonasel and Retronasal). The videos are easy to follow and the assigments might appear to be simple to the point you may want to just glance over them, but don't....even though they are simpe, they might suprise you on how much you can learn in a short time. It's well worth taking the time to sit in a place where you can focus on the lessons and assigments if you're serious about gaining or advancing the skill of really becoming a highly qualified wine taster. At first, I disregarded the message about the skill gained in this course vs other courses such as WSET, however, after completing this course...you'll possibly change your perspective and increase your skill as I have. This course doesn't confine you with expected outcomes when tasting wines, it teaches you "HOW" to build your own outcomes based upon how you taste and sense wine. Good luck, remember, it's just you, this course is not required, there are no "must pass" scenairos, so make the most of your time to learn the subject because "Learning IS the goal"
