Easy directions to follow and very simple to assemble. Hard to move so many block. Ugh. First step in patio upgrades. Lots of fun doing it. Some things to watch out for; coloring in block is obviously done in batches then placed on same pallet. When assembling take block from different pallets. Thickness of block was also different in some blocks. Made real hard to stay level so watch for that. Silica dust everywhere, best to blow block off with leaf blower before you assemble and brush. Greatly reduced dust at project site. Customer service was great. Still have to figure out how to get cap stone up to twelve feet and then put mantle and trim around top. Then on to patio cover, electric and resurfacing concrete. Will try to update this with final pic when done.

JRJen R.Verified buyerThe pavers haven't been installed yet (scheduled for end of June) but the ordering process and help in having the pavers delivered to our landscapers was quick, easy and professional. Order shipped as promised and we are looking forward to the installation. Will update with pictures soon. Thank you.

We would definitely use this system again, everything arrived in great condition, the instructions were easy to follow and we highly recommend using Roman Stone. We purchased the Princeton and it looks great.

We bought the Princeton with 2 batwing boxes. The order and delivery was easy. Based on other reviews, we asked that they deliver the pallets closer to the build site, which was on a side street ( we have a corner lot). The moved them with a hydraulic pallet jack, which couldn’t go over the curb or on grass, otherwise I would’ve asked them to move it even closer. The weight of the build exceeded 15,000 lbs so we had to have a pad poured separately from the patio that was approximately 10ft x 51 inch x 4 ft. We are in the Midwest so it had to below the frost line. We left a little overhang. The most difficult part of the build was moving the bricks and placing the top piece. It arrived in 7 pallets. Everything was there. Only problem was some of the glue tubes were defective, which they offered to replace. Best advice we can give is take the time to make sure every row is square, level and plumb. There will be small gaps because the stone is tumbled. We used a little giant ladder with a come along pulley hand crank to move the top piece up along one side of the ladder . The rest was muscle to slide it over the top. For us, this would’ve been almost impossible had we built the batwing boxes at the same time. Total build time about 24 hours. We couldn’t be happier! It was like giant lego puzzle that anyone can figure out. We highly recommend this product and company!

Overall we love the fireplace and my husband and I survived building it at the respective ages of 66 and 61. The delivery was scary and we purchased a cheap backup pallet jack but the delivery guys rolled all 16,000 pounds up to the pad by the side of our house. The pallet jack was helpful to move pallets around after all. The top stone of the fireplace was too much to try so we replaced it with 4 - 16 by 16 patio blocks using two of the small bricks for some extra support. I like the way it looks more than the top stone that was sent and we are still alive to tell the tale. Also, we got the Bethany Ledger and I was not crazy about the color the the wing wall pillar caps. Since it looked like a coating on concrete anyway, I purchased a tectured spray paint that was a much better color fit.
LBLorita B.Verified buyer The kit itself was great and just as shown very straight forward directions. The delivery process was very disappointing. I spoke with the dispatch probably about 5 times and seemingly had things arranged. The driver NEVER phoned me to let me know they delivered. They dropped the pallets off right in front of my mailbox. I had previously arranged help that was going to meet me at my house when the driver called(which he didn't) so I had to pay for someone to come move the pallets onto my driveway. When I called to express my frustration .... the response was that they were sorry the driver didn't follow through.

Great experience, only issues I had was I ran out of adhesive (my fault) and I had more chipped stones than I would have thought. In hind sight, It would have been smart to start putting them in the interior sections from the beginning instead of setting them to the side and having some cosmetic trouble at the end. Might be helpful to suggest that to customers. Adhesive is cheap, I would suggest adding a few extra tubes because you use extra trying to keep it level with the variation in stone dimensions

My first ever project with stone/pavers. I do have an engineering degree and I’m very detail oriented. As long as you follow the directions to the letter and continually make sure everything is plump, square and level as you build, most DIY’s can tackle this project!! I love the end result!!! So far, I think it’s a great investment!!
