Tumbled stones were a little more rough or rustic that we thought but with mantle decorations, it soften it ups. Kudos to Paul Latessa who was top notch on the whole delivery service.

Very pleased with the Fremont fireplace with seating walls. Delivery was just as promised and well packaged to my driveway. Installation went well. One tip is make sure you have extra help to install the cap.

I am very happy with how the fireplace turned out. The neighbors love it too. It took about a week of working half days to complete. The stones are not completely uniform, so it does require pennies to keep aligned. Find a couple strong men to put the cap on. I recommend sealing the inside cracks with Fireplace Motor Repair (high temperature) as you are building.

Can't say enough. It started with my first discussion with Paul. Great salesman and got back to me when I called with questions. I've built quite a few walls in my day, and laid paver walks and driveways. This was my first fireplace and my Wife and I built it together. Thanks for a great company, it only added to the experience.

The pallets arrived neatly and well wrapped. My order, which included the Princeton Fireplace, 2 firewood boxes, and a 48" extension kit, arrived on 10 or so pallets. I had my landscaping guy bring them into the back with a forklift; which saved a lot of time. The kit came with extra blocks. I used those extra blocks to make a few more layers than what the plan called for. The reason was to make sure my chimney was far enough above the awning line to be code compliant. From base to cap, it stands at about 13.5' tall. With so much weight, we went overkill on the foundation: 12-14" of concrete with rebar. The building process was easy. I'm fairly handy and have some construction experience, though no experience in masonry. The blocks are forgiving and they go up quickly. Just make sure you're keeping plumb, level, square. When I got to a certain height on the smoke stack, I had to lean a 6 foot A-Frame ladder against the side of the stack, with the feet on the firewood box cap. At some points it was tricky, but never felt like I was off balance or unsafe. There came a point where I couldn't go any higher, so I finished the awning, wrapped it around the smoke stack, then continued on top of the awning roof. The top cap probably weighs 120-150 lbs. With 3 guys, some ropes, and using an extension ladder as a ramp, we were able to safely get the cap on top. I've accessorized it with a 23 inch hexagonal fireplace grate, a mantel, fireplace tool set, rug, plants, screen, and a replica, 24" sculpture of Marcus Aurelius that I attached using tapcon screws. I get many compliments and would highly recommend the process to anyone. It was not difficult and did not take much thought. Altogether, without the foundation, I would say there was about 35-40 man hours involved. YouTube Link: https://youtu.be/fkCPwwddMNg

The instructions were great! I did the majority of the assembly by myself, and it would have gone much quicker if I would have had a helper to wheel barrow the stones from the pallets to the construction site. I am very pleased with the results.

I just finished building our Roman Stone Freemont Fire Place with added wood boxes and added seat wall. we love this company, the directions were very clear and the build was very east to do. It only took us three days to build the entire kit minus the foundation. I highly recommend Roman Stone Fire Place Kits. Roman Stone followed up on the delivery and was very helpful explaining everything that was delivered.
