Everyone has been so helpful and so very nice to work with.
BJBeth J.Verified buyerThe initial contact was a little hard to get a response from Romanstone, and with the dollar amount I was hesitant to proceed without talking to someone. But after taking the leap of faith I was contacted within a day, we talked about my project and made adjustments as required. My kit arrived yesterday and I'm excited to start assembly. More to follow!
JJohn B.Verified buyerWe are in love with this firepit! My husband found it easy to assemble and kept referring to it as adult legos. We have yet to try it because it's so hot outside but for now, it's a great conversation piece!

Fireplace was easy to install. It took 2 people a couple of full days to complete as we took our time and was trying the keep it level and plumb. As in the videos can’t stress enough to buy a rubber mallet and beat the rocks into a tight fit. Clean the rocks as you go. Fun project that the wife and I were able to complete.

We are so over joyed and happy with with the amazing customer service and delivery process of our AMAZING fireplace. The building went so smoothly and completed it in two days. The directions were spot on and couldn’t have been easier. The stone Timberwood is so beautiful and just what we wanted. We have had so many compliments and people ask where we bought the kit from. We love this amazing focal point on our backyard patio. Thank you so much for being a great company.

This is a DIY project we've been wanting to do for the last few years, and thanks to COVID we had to cancel the trip we'd planned to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary, so decided this would be a great way to mark the occasion. We originally planned to order a kit through a home improvement store, but they didn't offer everything we wanted, and pick up/delivery turned out be be a nightmare. After a google search, we found Romanstone, which offered the style of fireplace we wanted, as well as customizations (woodboxes and seat walls) that we didn't know we wanted until we saw them. Placing the order was a breeze, and the free shipping was an added bonus. I received a receipt and order confirmation email the next day, and the factory called later that week just to go over the order and reiterate the number and weight of pallets needed for this item. We received our kit within two weeks from order date. Each pallet was marked to indicate for which part of the project it should be used. However, the instructions included for the fireplace and the woodboxes were for different models than what we'd ordered. Thankfully, I was able to go to the website and print the correct instructions. Had we not had a bit of experience with stone/brick projects, and just blindly started following the directions, we would've ended up with a mess. However, correct instructions were clear and easy to understand. I am a hard worker, but slow and methodical, and my husband is a good "helper". It took us five days of seven-to-eight hour days to complete the entire project, which is nearly 20' in length. We built on an existing cement slab, with rebar reinforcements, so started with a completely smooth building surface and had ample room to work from all sides of the project. We used a forklift to move pallets, and as scaffolding once the project reached over my head. With just the two of us, we could not have completed the project without the forklift, and I could not imagine the difficulty of trying to build on anything other than a cured, reinforced, cement slab. Instructions were clear, and the building process is very straightforward. My only complaint is that the instructions didn't continue to offer approximate expected dimensions as we built the chimney, which stair-steps inward to the top. It turned out just as we had hoped, and we absolutely love it. I wouldn't recommend this project for a novice DIYer, but if you can follow instructions and played with Legos as a child, it is a great way to add value and ambiance to your outdoor living space. We are planning to add additional seating walls, woodboxes, a pizza oven (purchased from a different supplier), and a spot for our barbecue next year.

Overall great product. I'm not a fan of the tops on the wood boxes and the layers had a sag in the middle. Even with a flat concrete pad. I would absolutely buy this again and would recommend. For added context I'm a general contractor and the overall installation was a breeze.
MRMichael R.Verified buyerThe tops are a rusticated look that is designed to go with the overall kit package. There is nothing to stop a person from adding their own personal touches to these kits. Granite tops or natural stone tops would work also. It's all up to you!

Love how our fireplace outdoor room is coming out... Romanstone has been very helpful and ordering everything has been very timely. My hubby, Lance Golden, wrote a review already but I wanted to add a few more pictures of the finish project with the seating walls and the front of fireplace ... Now big decision of if we order more walls for around the hot tub or around a pool.

We're glad you were able to "do it yourself". Looks great.
