  Quad 33 Pre Amplifier

  Lovely and compact but reassuringly heavy. Super simple to set up and operate, and most importantly, crystal clear and absorbing sound. I’m using it as a headphone amp with ZMF Bokeh Closed phones and a mid range dongle DAC. It just sounds expansive and lovely with any genre of music.   Nice to have a warranty to cover a six year period but would like to have a copy of the warranty rather than just being told if there is an issue, just go back to the point of purchase, in my case KronosAv in the event I need to reach out for support over the coming years

  Eversolo DMP-A8 Streaming DAC/PRE Amplifier

  I am not a techie, just someone who is interested in the overall sound playing my hi-res library. The machine build is exceptional, receiving superb sound from hi-res files stored on the external SDD card, utilising the onboard DAC to process the files. Copying files from external NAS drives is pretty fast over a gigabit WiFi link. I subscribe to Qobuz and so pleased on how easy it is to stream from my iPhone. The app is easy to use, and has numerous streaming points, Qobuz, iTunes, Spotify etc. The machine surpasses my expectations and I highly recommend this machine, to all wanting a streamer to play hi-res music.

  Norstone Esse WS Turntable Shelf

  Really solid, has improved the sound from the turntable (Linn), more depth and 'heft' to the sound compared to sitting on top of an Atacama Eco 60-40 SE2 rack. Only slight negative is that there is no ability to adjust the frame or shelf for level - you need to use fixings slightly smaller than the hole sizes, and thin packing pieces behind the brackets/frame to allow for 'tweaking'. Or place shims under the shelf support domes.

  Audiolab 9000P Power Amplifier

  Purchased the 9000Q and 9000P from Kronos, excellent experience with Damien’s assistance. Used with Cambridge Audio CXN100 network streamer/DAC, connected via coaxial and XLR, streaming high res audio via Qobuz, and with PMC Prodigy 5 floorstanders (also purchased from Kronos). Absolutely wonderful! The pre and power amp combo is noiseless, with excellent sound staging and depth, and clarity across the frequency spectrum. Very impressive indeed! Just can’t decide if XLR sounds better than coaxial; XLR uses the CA’s DAC, whilst coaxial uses the 9000Q’s DAC. Probably very close! Very happy indeed, thank you Kronos.
