I am not really going to review the turntable, suffice to say it is an excellent turntable, albeit not an upgrade for me but a lateral move. I would however like to give a short review of Kronos AV, shortened to Kronos from herewith. As do many probably reading this, I get the e-mail/newsletter from Kronos on a Friday afternoon in the UK, and as usual, they have won another award, do they give them away or are they the only participants, the thought had crossed my mind on many occasions. I had not used Kronos for about 4 years, the kit they sold me was fine and would probably outlive me, but I needed to simplify the turntable so went for the Technics 1300G, knowing it was a sideways move, this was also pointed out by David at Kronos, we're both getting on so ease of use is high on the list of requirements, obviously I approached Kronos with a view to part exchange old towards new, this was extremely easy, surprisingly so, I was offered a great price and the deal was done, I sent my turntable and it was given the thumbs up the day it arrived, the new turntable arrived about 6 days after initial enquiry. I only dealt with David and Matty at Kronos, but I have no doubt that whoever I dealt with would have treated me the same, exemplary service. Anyway, back to where I started, questioning the awards, I am sure Kronos will win many many awards, and so they should, everyone will be well deserved. David, you run a crack team, keep it up.

Fantastic product if you can afford them and are fine tuning your mid to high end system. Once correct set up, the increase in dynamics, bass tone, soundstage and overall clarity is stunning and instantly quite obvious. Top service from Kronos AV too. Damian assisted in answering my technical questions and held the podiums until I returned from holiday. Finally, the 5% discount was most welcome.
