Thanks for the review. Yes, many of our customers wish for better battery autonomy. Currently you can get between 4-6 hours of autonomy on a full charge. It was a design trade-off between keeping the device small enough to easily carry anywhere (hence smaller battery) and better autonomy. You can of course keep the device plugged in to a wall socket all the time if you are not needing the mobility aspect of the service. Hopefully our next models will manage to keep the same size but offer better autonomy via improved battery technology!
Thanks for the feedback. Due to size constraints to keep the device small and mobile (the ability to have a WiFi hotspot in your pocket when out and about), the WiFi signal from the device is sometimes not as strong as one would wish across walls into other rooms. As with any other WiFi hotspot it also depends on total distance and the thickness/materials of the walls. We are looking at renewing our entire inventory of iSpot Connect devices over the next 12-24 months, mainly to provide 5G connectivity. At the same time, smaller and more powerful antennas will be implemented in the next generation of mobile WiFi devices which should improve WiFi signal strength and penetration across walls. While not an ideal solution (and more costly), we do have customers that rent two iSpot Connect devices in order to provide better WiFi coverage, especially in larger homes/apartments.
