I used these to re-hang my existing copper K style gutters and am very happy with the results. Recently I had the roof and flashing replaced on my house, the roofing contractor did a very poor job of hanging my copper gutters which now slopped to the middle of the run instead of sloping to the downspouts. I could not find a gutter contractor who would work with copper, everyone I spoke to would only sell me new aluminum or plastic gutters. As the existing copper gutters are in excellent shape I resolved to re slope the gutters myself with these hangers. I measured the length of the straight runs to find the center point which became the high section then worked my way down the length sloping the runs 1/2" for every 10'. The hangers are extremely easy to install with the gutters in place and a nut driver on the end of a cordless drill. I did have to slightly bend the curled end up to fit my particular gutter, but being brass this was easily done by hand with a pair of channel locks. I initially spaced these hangers every 36" but was unhappy with the degree of deflection in the gutters during heavy rains so I ended up doubling the number of hangers at roughly every 18". This also allowed me to cover the existing holes in the gutter that were created by the original copper nails with Silicone Bronze screws that were secured to the new gutter hangers. The end result is a set of gutters that are mounted so securely there is absolutely no deflection during heavy rains, and while I have not tried I think they could support my entire body weight (200lbs.) if I were to slip off the roof.
