Regarding chimney caps made from aluminum or steel, it's important to clarify that any colored material offered is pre-painted with Kynar coating, rather than post-painted. Consequently, the raw edges resulting from cuts are visible. These edges are quite fine, typically ranging from 0.024" to 0.032" in thickness. While they may be discernible upon close examination, they become significantly less visible once the chimney cap is installed.
It's pertinent to note that the raw edges depicted in the photos we provide have not undergone any touch-ups or alterations through photo editing software. Hence, we advise our customers to review as many images as possible before finalizing their purchase.
The schematics were spot on, it fit as I had hoped.
I think it will look fine when the downspouts are added and I finish my installation. It is a DIY project and it going along as I had hoped. I am not a metal worker, so the only comment I have is comparing it to others in my neighborhood. The difference with this one is that the pop rivets are seen from the front whereas others I look at, there are no pop rivets visible from the front. I would have no clue how a person would make one that way. Just an observation. Otherwise, I am completely satisfied and the shipping was earlier that I expected.
