Just received my rod that I ordered from you this Saturday! Been chewing at the bit waiting for it to arrive. It's an 8 foot 2 piece two tip 6 weight. The flaming in the cane and wraps on the new rod look fantastic! I already have an 8' 6" McKenzie 5 weight that's a 3 piece rod and love the way it casts. It under lines well and I can throw a 4 weight line with it nicely. I have a couple of old South Bend bamboo rods that I repaired, refinished in Tung Oil, and installed new guides and wraps on. I really like them as they are reasonably smooth, slow, and telegraph what you need to do during the cast. I love your rods because they provide the same communication as those old rods do but with a faster response during the cast! I have a G. Loomis IMX 2 piece, 9' 4 weight rod and like it a lot but, boy oh boy, is it fast. I just have to practice with it all the time to stay proficient with it! Not your Headwater rods, they talk back or telegraph to the caster what they need. I can hardly wait to get it out on the water after having used my McKenzie. I live in Utah and we have some spectacular rivers and lakes around here, and I intend to put this beautiful rod to use. Thank you again for my beautiful new and 2nd favorite bamboo rod! I love my 8 foot 5 w3eight McKenzie too, just use it in different situations. Have a Nice Thanksgiving and Christmas!!! Shannon
