I like that they are lightweight and I use my own washing boots instead of those heavy rubber boots. Because they are more comfortable I'm able to stay out longer.

I like how this reel balances with my bamboo 2/2 three, four, and even shorter five weight fly rods. The click/pawl "drag" prevents stripping over runs. The drag seems to protect light tippets nicely when the spool is filled properly. The metal reel looks really good and balances on my shorter bamboo rods I fish the most. The tapered reel handle makes for controlled winding. The finish is very nice. The reel foot is shaped to fit cap and ring as well as down-locking or up-locking reel seats. The spool releases and mounts easily. The spool's exposed circumference makes for a palming rim. The reel came perfectly lubricated and came with a quality grey suede draw string pouch and lining that is very clean and soft. Ron U., NE Iowa I will purchase again for spare spools and fly line.
