From the start Romanstone gets it right. We were searching for a reasonably priced solution to my "I would love a woodland fire place, you know one that looks like it was in the forest!" The easy to follow YouTube video brought me to the website. Order placed on line, and I get a call, a real person calls and confirms the order and answers questions! Shipped out quickly and arrived within a week of shipping. Easy to read instructions and even at 65 years young, The Man did everything in just a few days single handed (okay a little help for leveling from me) The only thing that required help is the top chimney stone! We are eager to have our first of many evening chats in front of our fireplace. Thank you. Londa & Johnny

They don't mention how much crushed stone to order. For the Prinston model with two side log holders I ordered 3 tons of gray crushed stone with cement powder mixed in, used for paver base. I paid $72.00. I also paid $200.00 and had a paver company dig the hole and every 4 inches use a vibrating machine to tampen down the base stone. If you don't rush and take your time everything goes as planned. Easy instructions, I would add one thing, on page 8 the dark colored firebrick is narrower than the others. There are two of them. Also if the back firebrick is tight I used a rasp file and filed the side down 1/16 " and added petroleum jelly to help slide the brick down. Also I used a rubber mallet to tap down each brick before leveling. The only negative is the bricks were very dusty with stone dust. I used a brush to clean each 501 bricks which took up allot of time.

I found the fireplace on Pinterest and wished for it for months. I was hesitant to make such a big purchase, sight unseen. The customer service was awesome and it was delivered quickly. The kit was a breeze to put together. I would definitely recommend to anyone!

Great customer service, kept me informed of delivery all the way. Easy to build but obviously heavy work, can be done by one person apart from the capstone. Instructions were clear, I was dubious about some parts but it all fit together perfectly. Had it done in two days.

Great product, Excellent customer service(Paul), Fast shipping! As I’m a landscaper I will be ordering again. I wanted a 20 foot diameter circular paver pad for a client so in order to reach that dimension utilizing all the same style and color of bricks I had to order several additional kits I ended up ordering 5 kits total should’ve only ordered 4kits as there was an additional pallet left after completion of the 20foot circle pad (in which Paul told me there might be. You were right Paul). But with that said I was able to utilize the other bricks in my landscaping project.
MLMichael L. Very satisfied with the product and how easy it was to construct.

Our Fremont fireplace was the center piece of our Christmas eve! Built it 2 years ago with chimney extensions to get it above the roofline of our firepit house. Assembled in just two weekends (it would have been one except for grandpa responsibilities). We love it and spend many evenings and make lots of s'mores out there.
