Our new circular patio kits(2) arrived ahead of the projected date and had my son and a friend move the blocks via wheelbarrow from the two pallets in our driveway to the build location. I had them stack the blocks by shape (large wedge, small wedge, rectangular, etc.). Between ordering and delivery, I had everything prepped and sloped the way I wanted it. I completed installing the blocks in 1 1/2 days doing all the work myself (including moving and setting the blocks in place) and following the template. It does take a little time and patience on each row to get the block spacing to work out which is not necessarily explained in any of the information. To better explain, I used the template provided on the website and placed the block from center out by rows and carefully spacing as I moved around the circle for that specific row. You get to the last block and now you only have 1/2 space for that block. At that point, you now must go back around the circle making slight spacing adjustments on blocks moving in either direction around that row to provide enough space for the last block. I elected to use a mix of Pavestone leveling sand and Quickcrete specialty sand to sweep into the joints instead of the polymer sand and happy that I did. I was very satisfied with the end product and actually added another outer row of rectangular blocks which brought the patio to an overall OD of almost 14 feet.

What an incredibly great DIY kit!! I honestly put it together by myself (except the cap stones) in 2 days!! Roman Stone was awesome with everything I needed!! I’m gonna order some other kits from them and would be the first to say... Order from them!!

Biggest issue was getting stones to backyard! $30 handcart from Sams and many many trips did it. Patience and perseverence. What was supposed to be MY Christmas present is being enjoyed by entire family!!!

Easy to assemble with clear-cut instructions. Looks great in the back yard. Had an issue with a missing brick, and the company sent it via FedEx promptly after being notified. Fun project with a very reasonable price point. Recommend!

FANTASTIC PROJECT! Easy to follow directions. I added two rows to both wood boxes and the chimney at the bottom. I also added three rows to the chimney as an extension. Paul and his staff are absolutely amazing and wonderful people to work with! Hopefully they will start building water features and we can work together again

I have to say, it is a pleasure working with Romanstone! From beginning to end of this project all went very smooth!. All questions were answered when making my decision to buy my fireplace. Once purchased, they kept in communication with me insuring a planned delivery. And the end result is amazing. My research told me the 2 hardest parts of this process were moving all the stone from the front of the house to the back of the house. And the next was putting the cap on the top. For the first process, I hired some local High School football players. For the final item, I rented a heavy lift from Home Depot for $50. Both were good investments. The building process, which I did myself, took 2 days. This did not include creating a cement pad to build upon. I did this about 2 weeks before receiving the kit Once I received the kit, I was ready to go. The directions were easy to follow. There were never any issues. Everyone that sees this fireplace loves it! But none more than myself, since it is my labor of love! I would highly recommend Romanstone to everyone. This company does things right. And you will be very happy with the end result!
