Came out great. Came on 1 Palette. Super Heavy and trucker had trouble getting it off the truck as Palette it came on crumbled as trucker lifted it. Trucker had to come back and stack an additional palette under it. Was super helpful though.

After looking at several options for a DIY style fireplace we kept coming back to the RomanStone design and flexibility. We knew a fireplace would be the center piece of our new patio addition and we wanted a style that complimented the existing stone work of our home. Through a couple e-mails we were able to determine just what and how much material we needed to build the Rockwell with wood boxes, seating walls a grill surround and stair risers from our existing patio area. Paul called about 6 days after our order was placed and set up delivery within another 4 days. The freight carrier was very helpful and placed all 13 pallets in just the right spot for the us to move them back to the install sight. We had our landscaper pour a pad for the fireplace and grill surround to give us a perfect base to start from. As many other reviewers have said it really is a simple and seamless process the printed directions that came with each portion of the kit were easy to follow or you can use the .pdf on the web. If you can build a puzzle or a Lego model (with really heavy pieces) you can build a RomanStone fireplace! Keep it square and plumb and follow the layout in the instructions, you'll have no problem. I bought a bag of stainless steel fender washers at Lowes to use as shims and they worked terrific. We raised the entire structure up one course of block to match the grade we wanted to set for the patio pavers. Our local landscape supplier has an exact dimensional block to the RS rectangle in similar colors. The kits are flexible and I called Paul to ensure it was doable as we wanted to pull our batwing wood boxes forward to align with the fireplace opening for our preferred look. We also added one course of height to the end columns of each wall. Lastly we used the same coping caps from Belgard as our patio stair treads on the seat wall and as our mantle and upper chimney surround to help tie all the colors and materials together. We love the final results!! Our landscaper was very impressed and says he will recommend RomanStone to future clients for his crew or the homeowner to install. My son and I had approx 32 total man hours over a 3 day weekend in the full fireplace plus the grill surround. All in all a terrific and fairly simple process from start to finish, the fireplace burns and draws amazing and we expect to get years of enjoyment from it! P.S. the pallets are great for DIY wood projects and the couple that were damaged are great as kiln dried kindling for the fireplace! RomanStone --> You Guys Rock!!

Worked out perfectly, looks great. The only challenge was the truck delivering the pallet had problems unloading it due to the pallet size. The kit made it easy and fast to put the pavers together. Highly recommend.

Ordering and delivery was quick and easy. We loved the detailed instructions. This was our quarantine project and was fun to complete. It is absolutely beautiful and all of our neighbors and friends want one too. We are in our 60’s, in great shape, so no excuses as to what age can complete this. Very nice design and great row by row instructions. Have some extra tubes of glue on hand when doing the build. I found it good to glue pennies as shims and keep each row solid and straight. Take you time and don’t try to get it done in one afternoon. The fireplace works great! The first thing we did was burn all the pallets the stones were delivered on. Overall this is a great fireplace and I think the best deal out there. Thanks!
