This was a Fantastic experience. Based on an internet search, I found Roman Stone and the Fireplace we wanted. I purchased it 100% based on other's reviews and comments. What a great decision to go with Roman. It really checks all the boxes; Easy to order, Great customer service and follow up by phone and email. The product looks awesome. Directions were super clear and easy to follow. Total build time was working 14 hours, give or take a little prep time. The perfect family gathering spot for years to come!

Great product and easy to build. This is definitely a DIY kit and it's as simple as following the instructions and keeping things level and plumb as you go. The key is starting with a level base...if you can do that, this kit essentially builds itself. The step-by-step instructions are easy to follow and provide excellent detail as you go. I was able to add some matching Euroblock (8x4x12) to my order for an outdoor bar project I was completing. The communication was great and all of the blocks arrived as ordered. One thing to know...delivery will be on pallets and will only be delivered curbside (to the front of your house). My project was in the back of my house and I had to rent a lift to get the blocks to my project site. I researched for several months to find a DIY kit that would fit my needs. I'm happy to say I found everything I needed through Romanstone. I've even got friends and neighbors looking into buying now too!

They are not joking when they call beforehand to see if you can take delivery. I have a tractor and thought surely I can take the pallets from the truck that wouldn’t come onto my gravel road at the farm. Wrong. Had to break down the approximately 1600 lb pallets into loads the tractor could handle. Again this was my fault and they called beforehand. Just know what you are getting into. Once it was unloaded it was time consuming but easy until the slab that goes on top of chimney. Had trouble lifting even with 3 strong teenagers and a tractor to lift beside it. It’s an amazing kit and we’ll worth the savings to do it yourself.
DJDerek J.Verified buyer The delivery arrangements worked out great with my local lumber yard and their fork lift. The only complaint as far as the product is the thickness gauging from block to block. They’re not all the same. Causing some rows to belly down.

We incorporated ours into a screened in porch. Went with the Rockwell because it's best suited to mount a TV on. We re did a cement pad and poured an appropriate footing. Because it was a new, level footing, the process was pretty straight forward. Cannot stress enough, use a square to keep it plumb and a 4 foot level and check often. You can really only tweak the top course as you go...there's not a lot of adjusting if you don't check it often. But in way it's a good thing because it's very sturdy. Also, don't over think things, the pavers are all "roughed" up that it's pretty forgiving. I would recommend 100's over and everyone is wildly impressed.

Widen and I put it together in about 16 hours in a 4 day period. ( we are both in our sixties) hardest part was moving all the pieces into the back yard. Smaller bricks could have been more true to square and caused some difficulty in leveling when used in corner joints.

ABSOLUTELY in Love with my fireplace. I had to raise my firplace to match the patio and place a it on a concrete footing. It was so easy to do all of that and build the fireplace with the instructions and tips provided.
