Very happy with our fireplace. Directions were very easy to follow! We added a pizza oven on top of one wood box and a key hole below the mantle.
JJJean J.Verified buyerGreat Fireplace. I love the customizations. Be careful, everyone will want you to build them a pizza oven, too! Thank you for the great review.

I had such a great experience with Romanstone that I wanted to make sure I left a helpful review with pictures and because so many of the other review were helpful to me in making a final decision in choosing an outdoor fireplace. First off, the customer service was great and they responded right away to my several questions that I had for them especially with the fact that I was going to be working with an existing concrete slab that was not level, in fact it had about a 2” slope. Customer service sent me their recommendations on this including a link to a video from Quikrete on leveling an existing slab for a project like this. I decided on the Princeton kit. The ordering process was easy and once I placed the order, I was contacted by the dealer on shipping details and that the carrier would contact me right before delivery which is what happened. Delivery took just under two weeks and is exactly what is described on the website. I purchased a chimney extension kit, so everything came on six approx. 2,000 LBS pallets on a freight truck. The driver had a pallet jack meant for a flat service so they can only move the pallets so far meaning curb side delivery is most likely curb side unless you have a delivery driver willing to help you move the pallets. The directions are easy to follow, and the build is exactly like the website says. There is also a YouTube video from Romanstone that shows the full build of the Fremont kit which is helpful to see the start to finish process. The hardest part for me was getting the base level which is the most important part. The cap on top is about 120LBS. I rented a lift from Home Depot (link below) which was the best $50 spent to help lift the cap and all I had to do was slide it off the lift onto the top of the chimney. Once again, working with Romanstone was a great experience and the end product is exactly what I expected. I would highly recommend if you are looking to build your own. I would say from start to finish this took me about 12 or so hours to complete. https://www.homedepot.com/tool-truck-rental/450LB-Material-Lift-12/2412/index.html

We purchased two kits for a 12.5’ diameter patio. This was a great project for our twins who are graduating high school. We would definitely recommend these kits.

Very easy to build, great instructions. Turned out beautiful!
PDPamela D.Verified buyerIt does look beautiful - is that running water I see in the background? Thank you for the review. Enjoy your outdoor space.
Roman Stonefrom Romanstone Hardscapes Bought the cobble circle kit with the expansion to get it out to 12.5 ft diameter. Turns out that you just get two of the same cobble kits. You end up with a lot of extra interior pieces but when we got out to the last course...we were missing a good amount of square pieces. We made up for this by alternating the excess triangular pieces albeit with a larger gap that would have occurred otherwise. Besides that, the stone is super well made and durable, it looks great! Also, online support is great as I had a few questions. I had the impression that if I sent him some pics of the area he would provide some advice given his hard scaping experience. Overall, would recommend.

Roman Stonefrom Romanstone HardscapesWe just built this fireplace and wood holders and we love it. The directions were easy to follow. The only hard part was getting the heavy stones up on top, you definitely need some big strong people to lift them.
JCJulie C.Verified buyerGreat to hear. I agree that is one heck of a cherry on top! Thanks for the great review. Enjoy your new fireplace.
