On the advice of Richie I purchased the WTX streamer to route Tidal through my Benchmark Dac1.
Its a small unit with plenty of connection options.
The sound is just as good to my ears as cd and good value too.

This product is exceptional for the price. I found the sound quality to be incisive and revealing with the only limitation being the built-in dac. which was inevitable given the price. The limitations of Spotify were immediately evident as was the clarity, definition and subtlety of Tidal.
If like me you are considering evaluating the potential of streaming then this is the place to start.
I upgraded from a pair of Audiolab 8200 mono blocks, instantly noticeable is the depth and control of the bass the Parasound has over the Audiolabs, the new amp has a lot more hours before it is fully run in but I'm very happy with the way it sounds already.
