Straight out of the box it sounded fantastic and is exceptionally well engineered. Used with Klipsch Heritage speakers which as indicated by Kronos's knowledgeable staff they could have been invented for the Luxman ! The built-in phono MM/MC preamp is excellent and makes for a compact comprehensive unit including balance, bass and treble should you wish to use them. This amplifier can only improve when ' run-in 'and it gives me the valve sound and detailed soundstage that I have dreamt of .
