  DUKE10 Is My Favourite Instrument

  I received my Duke 10 in early Dec. 2019 and have been playing it regularly since. It has become my favourite instrument. I play regularly at home and in a weekly jam session. I have received numerous compliments on the Duke, from other participants in the jam. They appreciate both the sound and appearance. Several of them also played it when I shared it with them. 1 fellow who owns a different banjolele, felt that the sound of the Duke was superior to his. I really enjoy playing the Duke. While the Duke feels light to hold it also feels very solid. While researching banjoleles, I tried various makes and models. I found that those with the smaller head did not sound as good and from a design standpoint the head appeared to be out of proportion to the size of the instrument. I also tried the Derring Tenor, which sounded good but again from a design standpoint the drum appeared to be too large and off balance. I think the Duke found the perfect balance in terms of both sound and design.

  Love it. I have named her Sugar Babe because of the sweet sound.

  Oh what a beauty! Arrived in a well wrapped package. Easy and quick set up. Great sound. The only drawback for me was that the supplied strap was too short. Can you get it made about half as long again Jamie? (Need to make allowance for a well padded, buxom, lady.) This is just an observation. In summary, a great instrument at a great price. Thanks Jamie.

  The bano uke was well made, came on time, and Jamie, the owner of the company was wonderful. He saw that I had failed to claim a discount to which he was entitled. Instead of keeping the money from my mistake, on his initiative he returned it to me. I didn't even know I had it coming. This type of highly ethical behavior should be acknowledged and praised./

  Superb banjolele, excellent post-purchase support

  I have held off writing a review until after I'd spent some time with the Duke 10. I've played it most days for the last three weeks. It's a great banjolele. Light, easy to use, good action on the fret-board. Lovely sound which can be 'tweaked' with the lugs. I found that the skin wasn't evenly tensioned out of the box, but was easy to fix up, and improved the sound of course. I also give Jamie 5 stars for his post-purchase care as well. There was a problem with a disproportionate delay in delivery (a courier issue, not Jamie's fault) but Jamie stepped up to do what he could to sort it out. So, buy with confidence that you will get prompt personal attention in the unlikely event that there are any post-purchase issues. That counts for a lot in my opinion. Great stuff Jamie.

  Perfect alternative to just a uke

  I was convinced by a friend of mine to purchase the Duke10 Banjolele. I already had a Concert Ukulele and I thought it would be nice to have another instrument to give a different sound. My word, it really gives a magic sound which suits so many of the old favorite tunes, a perfect alternative to just having a Ukulele. Do yourself a favor and get a Duke10 - it is a fabulous instrument for the price!

  WOW! The sound is awesome!

  Finally have been able to play my Duke 10 after liberating it from the wrapping paper on Christmas eve. WOW! The sound is awesome...It's got a nice twang without being overly harsh. (although my wife did just close the door to my office, but i think that's volume!) Nice crisp clear notes when picking ...... Full bodied strums....... "Jockey Full of Bourbon" sounds great with a mild fandango strum. All in all you guys DONE GOOD! Thank you again and Happy New Year you glorious ba#t#rd!

  Definitely My Favorite Already!

  I received the uke last night and couldn’t be more happy! It’s the fourth uke that I’ve bought and definitely my favorite, already. The uke arrived set up (nice low action) with the bridge already in place. It was nearly in tune right out of the box. These guys also did a great job in packing, it was a nice box within a box, with lots of extra padding. They really ensured that it arrived safely. You should feel really confident selling your instruments in the future. Thanks again, and cheers from New York!

  My DUKE10 Looks Gorgeous!

  Freddie Mercury said, "Thank God It's Christmas". While it is not just yet Christmas I say thank God my Banjolele is here! Let me tell you what I think about it. First of all, I have to say it looks gorgeous! In my opinion, it looks awesome next to my other Uke and my guitar (see the pic I included!). I especially love the look of the unusual tuners and their placement. All in all simply a wonderful looking and more importantly wonderful sounding instrument. I'm still figuring out the different methods and techniques of playing a Banjolele and so far I'm more than happy with it!
