  Standard Knee Walker - Purchase

  My ankle was fractured in early july and for the first few days I used crutches....which were pure torture.....i then got and used the standard knee walker and it was the difference between night and day! it's mobility and movement and ability to be independent --turn corners, go over (small bumps) etc made what is going to be a non-weight bearing summer tolerable...i'd love it if it were even easier to go backwards in a sraight line altho obviously this does...just some maneuvering. . my suggestions are the following: depending on what kind of cast you are in....ie, how far up the leg the cast goes (especially if you are a "righty" and the break is on your right side) leaning on your knee constantly/consistently can be painful.....the pad helps but not thick enough in this instance (initiallyi used pad and a pillow).... the handlebars could come with some padding too (extra no doubt) but after awhile the intensity of holding on can be tiring ....i wrap a towel around the left handlebar side as someone who has IT band issue on right side....the constant knee folding can cause pain up the right side of my leg but not sure there is anything to do about that.
