This has been a life safer, I had a foot operation and I am not good with crutches. This knee Walker is easy to Maneuver and I do not know what I would be doing without it!

Knee Walker Central is so easy to deal with. It’s easy to order what you need, it arrives at your home quickly, and it’s easy to return when you’re done. The staff are so friendly and helpful. It took all the stress out of the mobility aspect of breaking my foot.

BWI was given a photocopy of a Knee Walker Central pamphlet by my podiatrist who would be performing my foot surgery. As a typical dude, I didn't think to try to get my rolling knee walker that my surgeon prescribed until the day before my surgery. I contacted KWC and Jen answered and began helping me. She told me that she could ship a rolling knee walker to my surgery center the next day and it would be in time for me to take it home after my surgery. Perfect. I asked about renting crutches as well since I needed to be able to go up stairs at my house and work (when I returned). She informed me that they didn't rent crutches but to look into the iWalk 2.0. Unfortunately, the local facility that was going to send my rolling knee walker didn't stock the iWalk since it was still relatively new, and it would have to be shipped, arriving 2 days after my surgery. I was kind of in a dilemma, but KWC completely helped me out. I was able to drive to the local shipping facility and pick up a rolling knee walker to use until my iWalk came in. Then, I would just drive back to the shipping facility and return the rolling knee walker. This was a unique situation that not everyone falls in, but it really showed the terrific level of customer service KWC has, and it allowed me to try out two different products. Knee Walker Central really helped me out, and Jen was very great to work with! As far as the product reviews, I'm actually really happy I was able to use both of their products. I'm not sure which rolling knee walker I used, but it worked as advertised and was great to get around the first floor of my house the couple days following my surgery. I don't know how I would have fared if I was forced to use the iWalk as my only option the first couple days after surgery. I'm not saying that I wouldn't have been able to do it, because all I really got out of bed for those days was to use the bathroom, but It was convenient to just rest my knee on the rolling knee walker and roll there and back. I ended up putting a small pillow on the knee walker just to add to the cushioning for my leg. I had a bruise on my shin that just wasn't sitting right with the pad on the rolling knee walker. For the iWalk, I watched the strongly recommended videos on iWalk's website / youtube for assembly, fitting, and using. It was very simple to put together and did not require any tools. Fitting was pretty straightforward as well. Taking my first couple steps was a breeze as I walked from my bed to the kitchen to make lunch. Less than 30 minutes after assembly, I went upstairs for the first time. Coming down wasn't too bad, but requires a little more deliberate steps. The big thing is just to take it slow on the steps both up and down, and make sure to come down sideways to allow room for your leg to clear the steps behind you. I've been using the iWalk for just under a week and it's so great not having to worry about carrying crutches or dealing with the arm/hand/wrist pain. It's also great being able to use both hands without issue. I was able to put the rolling knee walker back in its box, and carry it unassisted back to the shipping center while using the iWalk. This would have made for a great commercial for the iWalk company. There's no way that was happening with crutches or even using a rolling knee walker. I've had quite a few looks out in town, but every one thinks the iWalk is a great idea and I agree. I am a 33-year-old, 165 lb, 5'10", male that considers himself pretty balanced / athletic. That said, the iWalk is pretty intuitive once you take your first steps and I think anyone can use it if they give it a try. All of the instructional videos show people that looked older than me using it just fine. I can see how it would make someone nervous to try, but it really is easy once you give it a shot. Something to watch out for on the iWalk is not lifting enough as you take a step and dragging it. This will scare you and make you feel like you might fall. If this happens, you may have it adjusted too long below your leg. I fall right between settings and prefer the higher setting, knowing and accepting that this may happen. I feel like I have pretty good balance and while there is the split second of feeling like I am going to fall, I immediately take a half-step with my good leg (instinctively) and recover. I don't think this is an issue if you have it adjusted a little lower. Another frustrating thing is to get out of bed in the middle of the night for the bathroom, you have to strap it on. The design is very simple to don / doff, but it is still annoying to do when you're half-asleep. This is more of a frustration of not being able to walk normally than with the iWalk. If I had crutches, it would still be a struggle. The rolling knee walker was a little easier in this regard. All in all, I definitely am happy with the iWalk, though I'm not sure how I would have made out the first couple days following surgery under heavy pain meds and recovering from anesthesia. The benefits of being able to live life almost the same without having to rely on a scooter or crutches, is huge. It is great not having to carry or keep track of anything since the iWalk attaches to you and kind of becomes part of you. Knee Walker Central was great to work with and I would absolutely recommend them to anyone.
NRThere was some confusion over how many days I had the send the knee scooter back. They promptly called me and straightened everything out. Excellent customer service! Thank you
NRI headed to vacation in the DR with what I thought was a sprained ankle, long story short it was broken, necessitating the need for some third world medical care and leaving me VERY annoyed on a well deserved vacation. I knew when I got home I was headed on a business trip and tons of client meetings. Thursday before leaving the DR I googled knee walkers, found you guys and called and ordered one. It was at my home before we got home, and I was ready to go. Wonderful customer service, reasonable cost, and frankly it totally saved me! I don’t do “slow” (crutches,) and the knee walker was fab! Can’t recommend highly enough. Thank you!
KLStay away! After botching the shipment date of the knee walker so that it wouldn't arrive before surgery, this mismanaged company called the night before my surgery stating that the knee walker I requested "wasn't available" and tried to bait and switch. All this after charging me in full a month before. With the stress of surgery, you don't need the additional stress this company will give you.
MGBest place to rent a Knee Walker hands down! Not only are the walkers built sturdy and safe; their customer service is awesome! They have answer to everything, are very organized, very friendly, very knowledgeable, all around just great! I live in Vegas and have had 3 surgeries on my foot. Every location in Vegas rented me walkers that were cheap and dangerous. I forgo my insurance and pay out of pocket for Knee Walker Central.....worth every dime!
PCKnee Walker Central may be a wonderful experience for most, however, please stop and think before ordering. I was so excited to think I may have found a way to get around without pain and forgot to realize that my right knee was in need of a knee replacement. This is a good invention as long as you can stand extreme pressure on the knee that is resting on the pad. I tried it out a few days after it arrived as I could not put it together by myself and had to wait for my daughter to come over and help me. I used it in the house only and realized the extreme pain it caused in my knee. The next morning I could not even walk as my knee was swollen at least three times its normal size. I had to wait for my daughter to come back over and help me take it apart and put it back in the box. Then I called to request that it be returned, however it was a Sat. so they could not pick it up until Monday. I had originally been told that if I could not use it a full refund would be given. Please read the fine print as they NEVER mentioned that this had to be done within the first 3 or 4 days. Out of a total amount charged of $135.00 I only received a $12.00 refund and that was not done until 28 days after the return. I'm not sure they would have returned anything if I hadn't called to request a refund. Please be careful of this company - they may seem wonderful, but their integrity leaves a lot to be desired. I would never recommend them.
